As you may already know, iCloud is Apple’s private database. Working within its ecosystem is a great advantage since it has allowed us to implement this much-demanded functionality very quickly. In addition, it is the best way to communicate automatically and privately, without your data passing through the hands of third parties. However, we cannot have control of all the specific problems that may arise in the synchronisation of your data, unlike other large platforms with which we work such as Training Peaks,<\/a> Intervals.icu or Strava, which independently manage their databases in the cloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most common is that the synchronisation is practically instant, and may take a maximum of 15 minutes. If not, in this post we are going to tell you the problems that may arise when establishing the connection between the athlete and the trainer, and how we can solve them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it doesn’t let you share a link as an athlete<\/a>, you probably won’t have space in iCloud. For any other problem, it should be solved by closing the app and reopening it. As a coach, the most frequent problem is that you click on the link generated by the athlete and it does not appear on the list. The ideal is to have the Spleeft app open in the background while you click on the link. It often works the second time. Don’t worry, it won’t be solved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Problem 2: synchronisation problems. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your coach doesn’t get your series, the first thing you should confirm is that you have enough space in iCloud. If you have available space, simply your series will be in the Apple synchronisation queue, and they will be synchronised in the step of 2-15 minutes, although it is true that this process can take hours, if it is combined with the processing of other videos that are being uploaded to iCloud or if simply Apple’s servers are somewhat collapsed. If you need an urgent analysis, you can pass the raw data to your coach through a messaging platform. To do this, go to the day you want your coach to see in the history and click on export above. Send him the file and he can import it quickly. You can also export a period of time from the calendar view, in case there are several sessions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extra problem: change of device. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you change your phone, your data will be saved to iCloud if you have syncing turned on in settings, and your data will be downloaded automatically. If they still don’t appear on the new phone, give it some time until it syncs. You may see your data synchronised but in your personal profile there is no data. You will also notice that your data is not synced automatically with Training Peaks, Strava or Intervals.icu. We have a system that detects this situation and solves it. If in a few hours there is no data in the personal profile, and you find your data under a computer called “My personal profile”, make a long press and click on “Mark as personal profile”.
